For over 10 years, PORT Group Homes has enjoyed one of those “win-win relationships with Camp Confidence. With more than their share of energy, PORT teens volunteer to rake campsites, clean cabins or haul docks. Other times they help with other groups, building their own self-esteem by giving back. PORT kids also experience the outdoors—some for the very first time--at camp. Around a campfire, fishing off a pontoon or testing their mettle on a climbing wall, PORT kids learn to trust others and ultimately themselves. Camp Confidence is a huge asset to PORT’s kids and their programming.

We enjoyed volunteering at Camp Confidence this summer with our youth because it taught them how to work together as a team despite their differences. They learned valuable job skills as well as life skills, and were able to see how their efforts can benefit others.

Volunteering at Camp Confidence has been a chance for me to "pay it forward" for all the blessings in my life. Hi, we stayed at camp confidence the end of Sept. I was a winner of a drawing at the spring DSAMN meeting. We came not really knowing what to expect and we had a ball. Our camp counselor, Mary was great! She did a great job of xplaining everything to us and then letting us experience a taste of everything. I don't know how anyone could get bored with everything you guys have to do. Mary did a great job of making sure our son Matt got to experience everything to the best of his ability. Your cabins were very nice, clean and spacious. The setting was beautiful and the added fall colors didn't hurt either. We want to come back in the winter to try all your winter activities!! Thanks so much for the opportunity to find out about your "gem" in the middle of Minnesota!!
