The purpose of the “Building Confidence and Employment Skills Together” program is to serve individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities through specific training and educational programs that will focus on basic employment skills.

Animal Care Class

Get hands-on experience learning how to care for animals at Camp!

Our Animal Care Class gives students the opportunity to learn practical skills while working with and caring for a variety of animals. Students will learn how to properly care for, feed, and groom animals while developing responsibility, confidence, and independence.

Through hands-on learning, students will also practice important skills such as following routines, completing tasks, communication, teamwork, time management, and attention to detail. These experiences are designed to help individuals build skills that can prepare them for future employment, volunteer opportunities, and greater independence in their communities.
