Welcome to your outdoor experience

Year-round outdoor educational and recreational experience for people of all ages with cognitive and developmental disabilities.

Cultivating self-confidence and self-esteem through outdoor education and recreation for 54 years

People achieve self-confidence and self-esteem though active “hands-on” activities and participation in a variety of outdoor experiences. Programs like archery, cross-country skiing, and fishing—just to mention a few—allow our Campers to challenge their limits and prove to the most IMPORTANT person of all, themselves, what they are capable of.

Upcoming Events

Oktoberfest

Join us on October 5th, from 11am – 7pm!  Celebrate the German tradition of Oktoberfest by taking a shuttle bus around 9 Gull Lake locations, sampling the BEST German beer and food at each location, while supporting local charities.

Get your friends together, put on your favorite dirndl or lederhosen, and drink great beer.

Your ticket purchase includes a wristband for access to the shuttles, a mug for each sample of German beer, and some goodies from our sponsors.

NEW THIS YEAR!  Keep the party going with an afterparty at Cragun’s Legacy, including live music from Ragtown, drinks, and fun!

Did you know March is #DevelopmentalDisabilityMonth? For the next month, we will be sharing tips and resources about how to act 'Beyond the Conversation.'

Tip #1: Wear Orange

Orange is the official color of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. One of the easiest ways to recognize Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is to invite your friends to wear orange. So grab your orange attire, and let’s celebrate! #DDAwareness2023 #BeyondtheConversation

At Camp, we are proud to partner with other charities when there’s opportunities to do so. Our friends at Smiles for Jake are taking this 5 year anniversary of a tremendous loss and working to make it positive as a reminder that #wearealljake so we’re going to #paintthetownblue

Today is a good day to be kind, give an extra hug, smile or high five. AND you can also think of our Campers and how many smiles our programs give each time someone joins us - whether an hour, a day or a week!

I love taking my clients to the activities that the Confidence Learning Center have available and the cabins they rent out are nice and clean. So many things for people to do! They work with adults, children and families that have disabilities both physical and mental diminished capacity. I feel the attention, help and involvement the staff give is awesome! They also do fund raising activities that helps run the facility! Truly a beautiful place and people!
